44-year old Hwang did not return from a hiking trip

Anyone having seen Michael Hwang in the Castle Mountain area is asked to contact RCMP
Searchers are scouring the area around the Castle Mountain area after a 44-year old husband and father of four did not return from a solo hiking trip.
Michael Hwang left his home on Saturday, August 4 at 8 a.m., for a hike in the Castle Mountain area. When he did not return that evening his family was concerned, and the next morning they contacted Parks Canada officials.
Corporal Jeff Campbell of the Lake Louise RCMP says an air and ground search was immediately launched by Parks Canada Mountain Safety Personnel. The search for the missing man continues.
Hwang’s white Ford Taurus station wagon was found at the Castle Mountain trail head parking lot. Officials report that nothing unusual was found at the spot where Michael Hwang parked his car.
Micheal Hwang is described as an Asian man, 5’6″ tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has short, black hair and was last seen wearing light brown pants, an orange, long-sleeved shirt, blue back pack and an orange climbing helmet.
Parks Canada along with the RCMP are asking anyone who was at the Castle Mountain Trail over the weekend and who had seen Michael Hwang to contact Parks Canada Dispatch at 403 762 1470 or Lake Louise RCMP at 403 522 3811 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 8477.
The Castle Mountain area is is located midway between Lake Louise and Banff.
