Whiskey Hills accident location inaccessible by vehicle

The Whiskey Hills are located just east of Leduc, Alta.
Hikers in the Whiskey Hills east of Leduc came across a grisly scene Saturday afternoon when they found a dead quad driver pinned beneath his vehicle.
RCMP Leduc are currently investigating the single vehicle quad collision they think happened sometime late Friday night or early Saturday Morning.
Around 2 p.m. Leduc RCMP received a call from the hikers, attended the area of the collision in the Whiskey Hills and found a man in this 20s pinned underneath an all terrain vehicle (quad).
Leduc Fire Services attended with an all terrain vehicle because the location of the collision in the Whiskey Hills was inaccessible by vehicles.
The male was declared deceased at the scene, according to police. Leduc Fire Services assisted with the removal and transportation of the deceased.
“We are early in this investigation and as a result there are few details available” says Cst. Matthew Pepper of the Leduc RCMP. “Investigational information such as whether alcohol was a factor will not be known until the autopsy is complete”.
Cst. Pepper says next of kin are currently being notified.
