Alleged thief leaves wallet in pants he attempted to steal, but homeowner made him give back
It all came out in the wash, literally.
On Monday, July 30 at about 6 a.m., Edmonton Police were called to a home in the area of 110 St and 86 Ave after a complaint was called in concerning a break and enter.
A woman inside the home had woken up to find an intruder in her bedroom who was allegedly trying to steal her laptop computer and cell phone. The man fled the scene without the computer or cell phone after an altercation with the woman.
The woman described the suspect as an Aboriginal man, 5’8″ tall with short, dark hair. He was wearing a grey jacket and carrying a black backpack.
About two hours later, at 8:30 a.m., police were called to a second residential break and enter complaint nearby. This time, police responded to a home in the area of 109 St and 88 Ave where a resident reported to police that he was confronted by an intruder in his backyard.
The suspect was allegedly trying to steal a bike from the yard and was wearing the resident’s clothes, which had been hanging on an outdoor clothesline. The homeowner forced the suspect to get out of his clothes and put on his own clothing before letting the suspect go.
When the homeowner went to wash his clothes that the suspect was wearing, he found the man’s wallet and ID in a pocket.
Edmonton Police are now looking for 32-year old Kent Henry Little of no fixed address in connection with both break and enters.
