One dead, three injured during early morning shooting in NE Calgary

One man is dead and three people are in hospital after a shooting in NE Calgary at a Vietnamese restaurant in the early morning hours Sunday.

Around 2 a.m. Calgary Police Service officers responded to reports of multiple shooting victims inside Basil Ultimate Pho and Fine Vietnamese Cuisine, 2770 32 Ave. N.E.

Three men in their 30s and 40s were found with gunshot wounds. One man was declared dead at the scene, while two others were transported to a local hospital.

Police say their conditions are unknown at this time.

A short time later, a fourth victim showed up at the same hospital suffering from a minor gunshot wound. It is suspected her injuries were sustained during the same shooting.

While details remain limited at this time, police believe this is not a random shooting.

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and detectives are currently interviewing witnesses.

No suspect details are available at this time.
