New York Times Bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey” continues to inspire thousands of women across different countries to explore their sexual fantasies.
The New York Times Bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey has inspired a generation of sexually underwhelmed women throughout the world to become their own “Anastasia Steele” and to seek out their own “Christian Grey.”
According to SeekingArrangement.com, since the publishing of this book, the number of female members seeking a Fifty Shades of Grey relationship has increased to over 186,000 worldwide.
Founder and CEO Brandon Wade believes that people really live the fantasy described in the book.
Sex sells, as proven by the overnight success of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy that has been on the New York Times bestseller list for many months in a row.
While the book may have awakened long dormant sexual fantasies of countless sexually underwhelmed women worldwide, no one has been able to put a figure on exactly how the book has impacted the sex lives of men and women until now.
Seeking Arrangement announced that it has been a big beneficiary of the Fifty Shades of Grey relationship trend.
“People who have read Fifty Shades of Grey are often surprised to find out that a website already exists for those seeking a ‘Fifty Shades’ inspired arrangement,” said Wade.
“Since the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy made the New York Times Bestseller list, the number of women joining Seeking Arrangement to find their own ‘Christian Grey’ has ballooned to over 186,000 worldwide.”
24.8 per cent of Seeking Arrangement’s active female members (over 186,000 women from different countries) want to find the same arrangement that ‘Anastasia Steele’, the lead character of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, had with ‘Christian Grey’.
Additionally, the website has seen a significant increase in the number of dating profiles which mentions the words ‘Fifty Shades’, ‘Christian Grey’ or ‘Anastasia Steele’. Of the roughly 1.5 million profiles, the term ‘Fifty Shades’ is mentioned over 28,382 times; ‘Christian Grey’ is mentioned over 23,102 times; and ‘Anastasia Steele’ is mentioned over 18,281 times.
A poll of 1.6 million Seeking Arrangement members reveals that 78.8 per cent of the women like the idea of succumbing to a dominant male like Grey, and 90 per cent of the men says they find the idea of a submissive Steele exciting.
“Fifty Shades of Grey is a sugar daddy meet sugar baby story based on money, power and sex,” said Wade. “Most women love the Cinderella story where a young and innocent girl is swept off her feet by a rich, powerful and handsome man.”
