Police allegedly find drug paraphernalia and $60,000 cash
Devin Robideau is facing multiple charges after a routine traffic stop in Grande Prairie
26-year old Devin Robideau of Grande Prairie is facing multiple charges after a routine traffic stop allegedly led police to find a concealed weapon, drugs and a large sum of money.
Constable Ellen Archibald of the Grande Prairie RCMP says the trafic stop was initiated during the early morning hours of July 11, 2012. The Grande Prairie RCMP officer who pulled over Robideau allegedly spotted a concealed weapon inside the vehicle.
An investigation ensued where the man’s car was searched. Police allegedly found a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, the concealed weapon and approximately $60,000 in cash.
The weapon turned out to be a replica pellet gun.
Devin Robideau of Grande Prairie has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and carrying a concealed weapon, as well as a charge under the traffic safety act.
Robideau will be making his first court appearance in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Wednesday, July 18.
