Evidence suggests truck driver suffered facial and chest injuries
Police looking for driver of this pickup truck who fled the scene of a two-vehicle accident near Beiseker
Police are looking for a driver seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision early Thursday morning in which a a 51-year old woman from Beiseker, Alta. died.
RCMP investigators believe dark blue 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck was south-bound on Highway 9 when it collided with a north-bound Nissan Pathfinder.
The driver and lone occupant of the Pathfinder died at the scene.
The unknown driver of the Dodge truck fled the scene, according to police, who expect that the driver sustained serious facial and chest injuries.
Members of the RCMP Criminal Crash Investigation Team, the Forensic Identification Team and the RCMP Collision Reconstruction Team have been busy speaking to witnesses and gathering physical evidence from the scene.
