Victim recovering in hospital
Saddle Lake, Alta. is located 180 kms NE of Edmonton and 105 kms north of Vegreville
A 21-year old man is in hospital recovering from extensive lacerations to his face and arms after being attacked by six dogs on the Saddle Lake Reserve around midnight Thursday.
Police say the man and two relatives were walking along a road on the reserve past a residence when a dog described as a pitbull or bulldog suddenly launched at the victim and bit his face.
Other dogs, which police say reportedly belong to the same homeowner, also attacked and bit the male on the arm and hand.
The victim’s relatives tried to fight off the dogs, but the attack did not end until the homeowner pulled the dogs away.
The victim sustained extensive lacerations to his face and arms and is recovering in hospital.
The attack is under investigation by local RCMP.
