Husband Alexander Proudfoot hospitalized in critical condition
79-year old Eileen Proudfood identified as victim in two vehicle collision near Delburne
Three Hills RCMP have released the name of the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Delburne, Alberta.
79-year old Eileen Proudfoot of Calgary was killed in the crash on Highway 21 at just before 2 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19.
Her husband, 83-year old Alexander Proudfoot taken by ground ambulance to Red Deer Hospital and then was airlifted to Foothills Hospital in Calgary where he is in critical, but stable condition.
Sergeant Joe Sangster of the Three Hills RCMP says police believe the two were traveling north on Highway 21 in their 2004 Honda Accord when the car crossed over the centre line and collided a southbound semi truck.
Emergency Services had to use the jaws of life to free the occupants of the Honda.
The driver of the semi truck was uninjured.
Delburne is 60 Kilometres east of Red Deer.
