Pedestrian dies after early morning collision on McKnight Blvd.
Traffic investigators closed road for several hours
One person is dead after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 5800 block of McKnight Blvd. N.E. during the early hours Sunday.
According to the Calgary Police Service, the collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. when an east-bound vehicle collided with a pedestrian, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Calgary Police traffic section is investigating.
East-bound and west-bound McKnight Blvd. traffic between 52 St. and 68 St. was expected to be affected for several hours due to road closures.
