Daniel Arsneau walked away from Ponoka care centre

Have you seen Daniel Arsneau?
Ponoka RCMP are hoping the public can assist them in finding 77-year old Daniel Arsneau, a man who walked away from the Centennial Centre for Mental Health in Ponoka Alberta, on April 19, 2012.
Arsneau has ties to Amherst, Nova Scotia and members of his family believe he could be trying to get back to the Maritime province.
A Red Deer resident recalled speaking to a man matching Daniel Arsneau’s description on April 20 at about 1:30 p.m., on Northey Avenue in Red Deer.
Daniel Arsneau is described as a Caucasian man, 5’5″ tall, and weighs 155 pounds. He has blue eyes and is balding with grey hair and a brown moustache. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing grey sweat pants, a blue jacket and yellow gloves. Mr. Arsneau suffers from dementia and may or may not be using a wheelchair.
Constable Meaghan Doyle of the Ponoka RCMP says Daniel Arsneau has limited mobility and normally uses a wheelchair to move around, but he may be traveling on foot. Mr. Arsneau would be unsteady on his feet and may walk with a limp.
Arsneau likes to frequent bars, liquor stores, local Legions, and establishments with VLT’s.
The RCMP are requesting that anyone who may have seen, had contact with, or may have given a ride to ARSNEAU contact the Ponoka RCMP at (403)-783-4472 or (403)-783-4471 or Red Deer RCMP at (403)-343-5575.
