Boy trapped in washing machine
When hide-and-seek goes awry
A 13-year old boy is hoping his mom never finds out about the day he got caught in his grandma’s washing machine during a game of hide-and-seek.
The Calgary Fire Department was called to a home in the 5000 block of Rundleview Road N.E., on Saturday afternoon to rescue a boy trapped in a top load washing machine.
The 13-year old lad was trying to hide in the machine, and was almost completely inside the washer when he got stuck. His grandma couldn’t get him out so she had to call the fire department.
The boy was good and stuck inside the washing machine. It took firefighters about a half an hour to safely free the boy from his predicament, who was not injured during the incident.
The washer machine also survived the complicated rescue.
