Ashley Arkley of High River facing multiple charges

Avery Bean Arkley of High River is facing multiple charges after he was stopped for allegedly driving dangerously while impaired.

Arkley was pulled over by an Alberta Traffic Sheriff on Sunday, April 22, at around 8:15 p.m.  The sheriffs spotted Avery Arkley while he was traveling uphill, one Kilometre north of Longview on Highway 22.

Sheriffs allege that the car driven by Arkley was passing two other cars while going up the hill, and was spotted weaving across a double solid line.  He was also allegedly clocked at 145 Km/hr.

The Sheriff stopped Arkley and called in Turner Valley RCMP to the scene when it was suspected that Arkley was impaired.

Constable Tom Christie of the Turner Valley RCMP says Avery Arkley was given a breathalyzer test, which allegedly showed him driving while almost three times over the legal limit, or .25.

Avery Bean Arkley, of High River, is facing criminal charges of impaired driving, driving with too much alcohol in his blood, dangerous driving and driving while prohibited.

He is to appear in Provincial Court on Tuesday, April 24.
