Calgary Police investigating downtown bank robbery

Calgary Police are hoping the public can assist them in identifying a suspect in a recent robbery at a downtown bank.  The First Calgary Financial bank was robbed on Thursday, March 29 just after 11 a.m.

A man entered the bank and waited in line to see a teller.  When he got to the counter, he told the teller that he was robbing the bank and he demanded cash.  He indicated that he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen.

The man was then given an undisclosed amount of cash and immediately left the bank.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal man, 25 to 30 years old, 5’10” tall and weighs about 160 pounds.  He was wearing a grey wool cap, grey and red winter jacket, grey sweater under his jacket and blue jeans.
