Queen Elizabeth is only the second ruler to mark 60 years on throne
Ring in the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne
Bells will be ringing throughout Calgary at 6 p.m., on Monday, February 6 to honour the 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The City of Calgary will ring the bell in the City Hall clock tower as the clock strikes 6 to mark the celebration. Also, the carillon at the Calgary Tower will also chime in recognition of Queen Elizabeth’s diamond jubilee.
The City is inviting any places of worship or buildings that have bells or carillons to ring those bells and join in the celebration.
Queen Elizabeth is one of only two United Kingdom monarchs to celebrate 60 years on the throne.
