Family still hoping for news on Michael's whereabouts
Six years to the day after initial reports of his disappearance, the family of Michael Feist is hoping that someone will come forward with information concerning Michael’s whereabouts.

Michael went missing on January 11, 2006 after leaving his home in Edmonton. His car, a maroon 1986 Honda Civic hatchback was found on Highway 43, 2 Km east of Cherhill, near Mayerthorpe, Alberta. The car was found to be in good working order and there was no indication as to why it was abandoned.
Doris Stapleton of the RCMP says police believe it is possible that Michael may have walked or hitchhiked along Highway 43 or any other roadway in the area. Investigators are asking anyone who can remember seeing a person walking or hitchhiking in the area from January 11 to 13, 2006, to please contact police. It was reported that Michael Feist was known to have good outdoor survival skills.
At the time of his disappearance, Michael Feist’s family said it was out of character for Michael to disappear and he had not told them that he was planning to leave for an extended time. Years later, they are still hoping someone will help them figure out where Michael is.
Michael Feist is described as a Caucasian man, 5’9″ tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and short brown hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a tuque and carrying a large duffle bag.
RCMP are appealing to the public, asking anyone who may have any information relating to Michael Feist to contact St. Albert RCMP 780 – 458 – 7700 or Crime Stoppers, toll free at 1 – 800 – 222 – 8477 (TIPS).
