Prince George RCMP were called to a home in the 2200 block of Redwood Street on Tuesday after the home owner returned to find an unknown man in his house, holding his TV.
The call came it at about 10 p.m., Tuesday. The resident told police that when he got home and surprised the burglar, the man dropped the TV and fled the home.
The RCMP Police Dog named Baron and his handler were then called in to track the suspect. While Baron was following the suspect, the robber was spotted by another officer near the corner of Spruce Street and 20 Avenue. Once the suspect saw the police he fled on a bike.
Baron continued to track the man to a location near the corner of Redwood Street and 17 Avenue where the suspect was arrested without incident.
Cpl. Craig Douglass of the Prince George RCMP says the suspect was identified as a 29-year old man from Fort St. James who was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for suspension of parole.
