A 38-year old woman has been charged with murder after a severely injured woman was brought to the Peter Lougheed Hospital by the accused early on Friday, October 28 and later died.
Diane Ruby Palmantier, 38, of Calgary has been charged with first degree murder in Calgary’s seventh homicide of 2011.
At around 4 a.m., on Friday, the accused and the victim were dropped off at the PLC by a man driving a Ford pickup truck. Police have taken the man into custody and questioned the man he has been released. Staff Sergeant Grant Miller of the CPS says police are hoping that the public can assist them in the investigation. They are hoping someone can assist them in identifying the movements of the truck. The pickup truck is described as a white Ford F-150 with a blue zig-zag pattern on the side.
Palmantier’s next court appearance will be on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011. The name of the victim has not been released as the next of kin have not yet been notified and her identification has not been confirmed.
