Armed robbery at Red Deer drugstore

Red Deer City RCMP are looking for the man responsible for an armed robbery at Sproule’s Mountain IDA Drugs in Red Deer on September 17.

The robbery took place at 5:15 p.m., at the shop located in the 3757 43 Ave., in Red Deer.  Cpl Kathe Deheer of the Red Deer City RCMP says the man, who had his face concealed, entered the store, brandishing a knife and demanded prescription narcotics.  Staff gave the man an unknown quantity of drugs and the man left the store.  Witnesses saw the man get into a waiting older model 4-door gold coloured sedan being driven by an older female after he left the store.

No one inside the store was injured at the time of the robbery.  The man is described as being in his 20’s.  He is about 6′ tall, with an average build.  He has fair skin, reddish brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured top.
