Victim of horrific Monday afternoon accident identified
George Addison Stewart of Stoney Plain has been identified as the man who was killed when he became entangled in the wheels of a moving semi-truck’s trailer on Monday afternoon on Stoney Trail.
The 70-year old Stewart was inspecting the brakes on flat-bed trailer when the driver, his co-worker, pulled forward. Stewart was trapped in the wheels of the trailer and was dragged about 14 metres before his co-worker stopped the truck.
Mr. Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene.
