An 18-year old man died when the car he was a passenger in left he road and rolled into the ditch northwest of Lethbridge early on Saturday morning.
The crash happened at 5 a.m., on Highway 3 at the Westside Dr. exit. The car the young victim was a passenger in was being driven by another 18-year old man. There was a second 18-year old passenger in the car; the driver and the second passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Lethbridge RCMP along with Coalhurst EMS and Lethbridge EMS responded to the call concerning the accident. Police believe the car was heading in an eastbound direction when it left the road and rolled into the ditch. The collision is still under investigation and charges are pending. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators hope that anyone who witnessed the crash will contact the Lethbridge RCMP at 403 329 5080.
