Garage fire spreads to motorhome

| August 20, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Calgary Fire Department was called out to a garage fire in the northwest just before 4:30 a.m., on Saturday.

The detached garage at 1439 22 Ave N.W. was fully engulfed by flames by the time fire crews arrived on the scene.  The fire was spreading to a motor home which was parked nearby.

Crews quickly contained the fire and put it out before it spread to any neighbouring homes.  The motor home and garage were heavily damaged by the early morning blaze.  Enmax is on scene checking on the power outage to the street lights which is not believed to be related to the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
