Fiery crash kills 31-year old Red Deer man

A 31-year old Red Deer man died and a 34-year old man from Nova Scotia was taken to hospital after a head on crash on Highway 21 near Elnora Alberta Wednesday morning.  

Three Hills RCMP, Elnora Fire Department and Kneehill Ambulance Service were called out to the scene of the crash on Highway 21 at 6:45 a.m.

Police believe a southbound pickup truck crossed the centre line and struck an oncoming tractor trailer unit.  The semi burst into flames which was extinguished by passersby and the fire department.

The man from Nova Scotia is in Red Deer Hospital with undetermined injuries.  RCMP continue to investigate the fatal crash.
