Drugs and cash seized from car during traffic stop
A 24 year old Saskatoon man is facing multiple drug charges after a routine traffic stop last week lead RCMP to find significant quantities of drugs in his vehicle.
The man, Youlong Thai, was pulled over on July 28 on Highway 9 east of Drumheller. Police became suspicious of the man and began to search his car. RCMP found and seized approximately 3 Kgs of cocaine and 2.5 Kgs of marijuana from the vehicle as well as un unspecified amount of cash. Thai, who was traveling alone, was arrested and is now facing several drug related charges.
Thai was released by a justice of the peace on bail and is scheduled to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on August 19.
