On May 5 Hospice Calgary is holding a hiking event to raise funds for the Sage Centre and Rosdale Hospice.

Join Calgary Stampeder Rob Cote at Fish Creek Provincial Park to remember loved ones and raise funds for hospice services in Calgary.

Check in is at 9 a.m, the hike begins at 10 am and is followed by a free BBQ lunch.

Tell us what you think of the Canadian oil sands by filling out this brief survey. $2 will be donated to breast cancer research for every completed survey.

Last year, hikers raised over $120,000 for the programs Hospice Calgary provides for children, teens and adults coping with life-threatening illness, sudden or expected death.

They provide individual counselling, group support, workshops and end-of-life care.

The event hopes to attract more than 700 participants.
