Tactical officers from Surrey, Kelowna arrest man on multiple warrants

Matthew Stewart will remain in custody until his court appearance on Friday.

Surrey RCMP have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a Halloween home invasion in Kelowna.

Matthew Scott Stewart was arrested on multiplie warrants in Surrey by members of the Surrey High Risk Target Team as well as RCMP officers from Kelowna without incident on Jan. 10.

Matthew Stewart is due in court on Friday facing several charges and will remain in custody until then.

The 20-year-old is also facing weapons charges in addition to those stemming from the October home invasion.
