A fatal stabbing in northeast Calgary has claimed the life of a man in his 30′s.

The Calgary Police Homicide Unit has been called in to investigate the stabbing death of a man in his 30′s in northeast Calgary on Saturday morning.

Police were called to a Taradale home located in the 0-100 block of Taradale Close N.E., just before 6 a.m.

According to the Calgary Herald, the original 9-1-1 call reported an assault at the home, but the call was disconnected before police knew what was going on inside the house.  Police then responded to the home.

When CPS officers arrived at the single family home, they discovered the man suffering from an apparent stab wound to his upper body.

The man was treated at the scene and transported to a Calgary hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police are looking for the culprit and, at this time, have no suspects in the fatal stabbing.
