Residents welcome to pubic meeting on reconstruction of 112 Avenue

Citizens are invited to give their opinions on reconstruction plans for 112 Ave in a public meeting on December 11.

The City of Edmonton is inviting citizens to learn more about future plans to reconstruct 112 Avenue between 50 Street and 68 Street.

The public meeting will be held on Dec. 11 from 4.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m at the Sands Hotel.

The City is looking for citizen input into a possible traffic lane reduction on 112 Avenue, impacts to vehicle, pedestrian and cycling traffic and ideas for aesthetic features and landscaping on the affected stretch of 112 Avenue.

This meeting builds on the City’s ongoing public involvement process that began in October for this project.

Design for the project is scheduled for 2013 with construction planned for 2014.
