Calgary police not certain victim shot in Parkland

A man is in hospital after being shot at a residence in the S.E. Calgary community of Parkland early Saturday morning.
Around 2:45 a.m., Calgary Police patrol officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Parkridge Dr. S.E. on reports that a person had been shot. Upon their arrival they encountered a 23-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported by EMS to the hospital in non-life threatening condition and remains in stable condition after surgery, according to police.
It is believed that the offender and victim are known to each other and that the shooting was not random.
The location of the shooting took place has not been confirmed and is still under investigation.
Detectives from the Centralized General Investigation Unit are currently leading the investigation.
