Innisfail RCMP are looking for suspects involved in a brawl on the shoulder of the QEII Highway Thursday night
Police are looking for a number of suspects involved in a roadside brawl on the QEII north of Bowden on Thursday evening.
Innisfail RCMP were called to the brawl just after 7 p.m. The fight was called in by witnesses reporting the melee was underway on the shoulder of the northbound side of the busy highway. Callers told police that several men were seen fighting with another man.
Before police could arrive at the scene, the suspects fled. The victim, a 28-year old man, was treated by EMS for non-life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Innisfail RCMP are looking for two vehicles that were seen leaving the scene of the fight. One vehicle is described as a black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck that had four younger male occupants and the second vehicle is described as a black Nissan Maxima or Acura with three to four male occupants.
Constable Steve Molnar of the Innisfail RCMP says police are unsure of the motive, but believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the attack.
