One woman made it through the Harvie Passage on Bow River

The second woman was pulled from the Bow River after traversing the dangerous Harvie Passage.
Two women have been taken to hospital after being pulled from the Bow River by the Calgary Fire Department early this morning.
Around 5 a.m. the fire department responded to a report of two adult women in the Bow River.
According to fire officials, a report indicated that one woman entered the river near the Centre Street Bridge and the other female jumped into the river to assist. Both women are known to each other, according to officials.
The CFD Aquatic Rescue Team launched three boats into the river and STARS Air Ambulance, EMS and CPS were also called to assist.
One woman was located about 10 minutes later as she made it to shore. Aquatic Rescue Team members stabilized her and then transported her to EMS for treatment.
A short time later, STARS Air Ambulance spotted the second woman in the Bow River near the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. She had passed through the Harvie Passage.

She was rescued by Aquatic Rescue Team members, stabilized and handed over to EMS personnel. Both women were taken to hospital.
The fire department says the incident remains under investigation.
