66-year old cyclist hit in southwest Calgary
Calgary Police are looking for the person responsible for a hit-and-run in southwest Calgary on Sunday, June 24
Calgary Police are hoping the public can assist them in identifying a driver who hit a cyclist and then left the man unconscious at the side of the road.
The collision occurred just before 6 p.m., on Sunday, June 24 in the area of 130 Ave S.W., and Wood Valley Gate S.W.
The man was cycling in the southwest neighbourhood of Woodbine when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim was left at the scene and was found a short time later by a concerned passerby who stopped to assist the injured man.
The victim has no recollection of the collision, but police believe his injuries are consistant with being struck by the side mirror of a large vehicle.
