Calgary Transit will provide a Sunday level of service on the holiday, Monday, August 6.

Celebrate our Heritage with a FREE fun filled day. Enjoy live music, be amazed by magic shows at noon and 1:30 p.m., visit live horses from the Fort Calgary Wheel and Runner Association, tour our beautiful community garden, create a family tree, and go home with a balloon animal and painted face. There’s also lots to learn in our interpretive centre, and at our temporary exhibit ‘Before the Stampede’. Activities run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Deane House

Heritage Park Historical Village

This Heritage Day, Heritage Park will be filled with the sound of music, historic activities and plain good old-fashioned fun. The first 500 paid admission guests will receive a complimentary pancake breakfast before 10:30 a.m.!
Catch a live opera performance by the Cowtown Opera Company in the world’s only log opera house, the Canmore Opera House, or sit on the lawn and listen to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra perform in the Didsbury Bandstand.
Don’t miss barn board branding, old-fashioned family games and demonstrations from Bow Valley Calligraphy. Looking for a little more action? Kick-up your heels and try line dancing with the Chinook Country Line Dancers.
