Diallo accused in two sexual assault cases
Amadou Diallo has been charged in connection with two sexual assaults in Calgary in July
31-year old Amadou Korka Diallo of Calgary has been charged in connection with two sexual assaults that occurred in the city in July of this year.
At approximately 2 a.m., on Friday, July 13, a woman was waiting for a CTrain at the 3 St S.W. station when she was allegedly approached by a man who verbally harassed her by making derogatory comments.
The victim boarded the southbound CTrain and hoped to avoid the man, but he quickly got on the same car and continued to bother the victim. Calgary Police say that as the train approached the Erlton/Stampede station, the accused moved towards the woman and grabbed her breast.
Fortunately, another passenger was on the train, saw the assault and yelled at the man. Police say Diallo then left the train and the victim stayed on the train and left the CTrain when she arrived at her intended stop.
She later reported the incident to police.
The other assault Amadou Diallo is accused of allegedly occurred about two hours prior to the CTrain attack, in the area of 11 Ave and 5 St S.W. Police say that Diallo approached a lone woman and grabbed her breast.
Amadou Korka Diallo has been charged with two counts of sexual assault. He will be appearing in court on Friday, August 31.
