Accident may have been cause of death
Stephanie Gingras identified as the woman found dead in southwest Calgary
An autopsy has been completed on the woman found dead in southwest Calgary late Saturday evening. The victim has been identified as 24-year old Stephanie Gingras of Calgary.
Calling her death unusual, the cause of death remains undetermined and investigators have not ruled out the possibility that her death was accidental. Police are continuing to investigate and are awaiting results from toxicology tests.
On Saturday, July 14, at around 11 p.m., police were called to check on the welfare of Stephanie Gingras. She was found outside a vehicle in the area of Spruce Meadows Trail and 53 St S.W.
Calgary Police have interviewed a 40-year old man in connection with the young woman’s death. According to police, the man along with numerous witnesses has been cooperative.
