20-year old Rebecca Rosenfeld died in crash
Okotoks fatal bicycle accident victim identified as Rebecca Rosenfeld from North Carolina
Rebecca Rosenfeld of North Carolina was the victim of a tragic bike/pickup truck accident near Okotoks on the afternoon of July 4, 2012.
Rebecca was riding her bike on Highway 7, just west of Okotoks when she lost control of her bicycle and rode into the eastbound lane of traffic. A pickup truck struck the young woman.
Her father was riding with Rebecca at the time of the collision.
A number of people stopped to assist the young woman and her father, but she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Sergeant I. Shardlow of the Okotoks RCMP says investigators have completed their work concerning the collision and no charges are being pursued.
