Man’s body found in Bow River, near Inglewood Golf Course
The body recovered from the Bow River on Tuesday afternoon was that of a man in his mid 40′s
The body of a man in his 40′s was found in the Bow River late on Tuesday afternoon.
Calgary Police and Fire Department were called concerning a man in a canoe possibly in trouble near Harvie Passage at just after 5:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found a group of kayakers in the weir, and all were fine.
A little further downstream, a crew aboard the Calgary Fire Department rescue boat located the body of a man in his mid 40′s. The body was located in the river, near the Inglewood Golf Course.
Calgary Police were called to the scene. When CPS officers arrived, they contained the scene. The Medical Examiner attended and so far in the investigation, the man’s death is not classified as suspicious.
CPS along with the Medical Examiner’s Office will now attempt to identify the victim and notify his next of kin.
