Name of Grande Prairie man not being released
Body of 47-year old male was found in a drainage ditch near 105th Street and 97 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alta.
Grande Prairie RCMP say the death of a 47-year man found face down in a ditch Saturday afternoon is not considered suspicious.
Around 3:30 p.m. police received a call about a person laying in a drainage ditch south of the railway tracks on 105th Street and 97 Avenue near the Eco Centre in Grande Prairie, Alta.
RCMP members immediately responded and discovered a 47-year old man from Grande Prairie partially submerged in water.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased. The cause of death is still being investigated, but is not considered suspicious at the present time.
