20-year old Konrad Blikowski has been charged after the death of a 19-year old man in the Rio Terrace neighbourhood of southwest Edmonton in March of 2012.
After completing their investigation, Edmonton Police have charged Konrad Blikowski with impaired driving causing death, operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mg. alcohol causing death, failure/refusal to provide sample causing death and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.
The accident occurred during the early morning hours of March 18 at 76 Ave and 154 St. Police believe Blikowski was driving a Mercedes, heading east on 76 Ave., when it collided with a parked Jeep at 154 St.
The 19-year old passenger in the front seat of the Mercedes sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. He died later that day.
Blikowski and a 20-year old passenger who was sitting in the back both sustained non life-threatening injuries. Both were treated by EMS and taken to hospital.
Konrad Blikowski will be appearing in court on July 11, 2012.
