Setting off homemade explosives in an Edmonton school yard has landed a man in hot water with the police.
Joshua Sealy, 33, of Edmonton man is facing numerous charges for the production and detonation of home-made explosive devices in a Mill Woods school yard earlier this month.
Sealy is facing one count each of possession of an explosive substance, cause of an explosive substance, placing or throwing an explosive substance, making explosive substances and breach of duty.
Edmonton police responded to complaint calls on June 2 regarding explosions in the field at Ecole Frere Antoine Elementary School at 2850 Mill Woods Rd.
Police say that after receiving suspect descriptions from residents in the area, Sealy was arrested June 4 walking down Mill Woods Road North carrying a backpack containing chemicals that could be used to make explosives.
Sealy is scheduled to make his first court appearance on June 28.
