Two others suffer minor injuries in collision

Donald Ogloff identified as man killed in two vehicle collision in Red Deer on June 23
A Red Deer cab driver has died as a result of a two vehicle collision in Red Deer on the morning of Saturday, June 23.
The accident occurred just before 1 a.m., at the intersection of 30 Ave and 55 St. The taxi Donald Roland Ogloof was driving was heading north on 30 Ave when a southbound vehicle, a Ford Focus, attempted to make a left hand turn and hit the taxi.
Donald Ogloff sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and died in Red Deer Hospital just before noon on June 23. Donald Ogloff had a passenger in his car, a 22-year old man who was taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries. The driver of the Ford Focus was treated at the scene and released.
Sergeant Steve Black of the Red Deer RCMP says alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation by Red Deer City Traffic Services.
