On April 19, just after noon, a 21-year old woman was assaulted by an unknown man behind the Thickwood area Safeway.  She was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Wood Buffalo RCMP are now releasing a composite sketch of the suspect involved in the assault on the young woman.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man with a pock-marked face.  He is about 50 years old and has light blue eyes.  He was clean shaven with medium length grey hair.  The suspect is approximately 6′ tall and has a heavy build, weighing about 260 pounds.  At the time of the attack, he was wearing a grey and purple hoodie with light coloured denim pants and work boots.

Constable Christina Wilkins of the Wood Buffalo RCMP says police are not releasing any more information on the attack to protect the integrity of the investigation.
