52-year old Tim Grant charged with six weapons related offences
Tim Grant arrested and charged
During the early morning hours on Monday, April 17, police were called concerning a man acting erratically and waving a gun outside of an apartment building in Red Deer.
RCMP responded to the home, located in the 4200 block of 54 Ave in Red Deer where they found the man and then arrested him.
Corporal Kathe DeHeer of the Red Deer City RCMP says that the man was allegedly in a dispute with people he knew.
Police then obtained a search warrant on the apartment where they allegedly found a hand gun, ammunition and stolen property.
52-year old Tim Grant of Red Deer has been charged with one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon,one count of possession of a loaded firearm, one count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime, one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited and one count of possession of ammunition while prohibited. He has also been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property.
Grant remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 18, 2012.
