Two men were taken to hospital early Friday morning after being stabbed by a man outside the popular Roadhouse Bar in downtown Calgary.

The Calgary Police Service says that around 2:15 a.m. a male suspect came out of the bar located at 840 9 Ave. S.W., approached the two victims on the sidewalk and stabbed them.

The suspect fled the scene in a black vehicle, possibly a Honda Accord or Civic, according to police.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital by EMS. One man was treated for minor injuries and released, while the other remains in serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating whether this incident is related to an earlier verbal altercation that had taken place inside the bar.

The suspect is described as Asian, approximately 5’7’’, with a slim build and spiky black hair. He was wearing a light-coloured hoodie.

Anyone with information on this incident or the earlier verbal altercation in the bar, is asked to call Det. Garth Kowalyk District 1 GIU at 403-567-6100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
