A two-vehicle collision north of Sundre on Wednesday, has claimed the life of a 63-year old man from the Rocky Mountain House area.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of April 25, north of Sundre on Highway 22.  Constable Dennis of the Sundre RCMP says a 75-year old woman from the Sundre area was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and the 63-year old man was airlifted by STARS to hospital in Calgary.

Sundre RCMP were notified on Wednesday evening that the 63-year old man had succumbed to his injuries.

The two victims of the crash were the only occupants of the vehicles.

An RCMP collision analyst has attended the scene and the cause of the accident is under investigation.  Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision.

Constable Dennis reminds drivers to “pay attention when driving, and be aware at all times of your surroundings”.
