Woman dies, man airlifted to Calgary hospital for treatment
Police investigate suspicious death in Okotoks
A woman is dead and a man is in hospital after a disturbance at a home in Okotoks on Tuesday afternoon.
At just after 2 p.m., RCMP were called to a home in Okotoks. When they arrived, officers found two injured adults, a man and a woman.
The man was flown by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital in Calgary and the woman was transported by ground ambulance. A short time later, the woman succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Okotoks RCMP say they are treating the death as suspicious. The RCMP Major Crimes Unit and RCMP Forensic Identification Section are assisting with the investigation.
As the investigation is in its early stages, no information concerning the names or ages of the people involved is being released.
Okotoks is 45 Kilometres south of Calgary.
