Collision occurred at intersection of Mt. McKenzie Dr. and Mt. Aberdeen Close S.E. in Calgary, Alberta.

A hit-and-run driver was arrested at his home after running down a teenage cyclist in S.E. Calgary Saturday afternoon. The 13-year old girl was taken to Alberta Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Around 2 p.m. the cyclist was struck by a white GMC pick up truck at the intersection of Mt. McKenzie Dr. and Mt. Aberdeen Close S.E. when she crossed into the path of the vehicle, which turned from westbound Mt. Aberdeen Close onto northbound Mt. McKenzie Dr.

Police later found the truck, which had sustained front end damage, at a nearby home and arrested the driver.
