Four armed robberies in city since April 1

An armed robber struck the same convenience/gas station that was the first store to be held up, during the April armed robbery spree in Grande Prairie.
The robbery occurred at just after 10 p.m., at the Shell, located at 68 Ave and Poplar Drive. A lone man brandishing a weapon entered the shop and demanded cash and cigarettes. The clerk complied and the man left the store.
The suspect is described as a man, 5’9″ tall. He was wearing a hoodie with horizontal black and grey stripes. At the bottom of the hoodie is a cuff of light blue. He also had on grey track pants with two black stripes down the leg, black shoes, black gloves and was wearing a printed bandana to cover his face.
Corporal Carol McKinley of the Grande Prairie RCMP says “This robbery is similar to previous incidents which have occurred in the past two weeks, but police cannot state absolutely that it is the same individual”. She goes on to add that “RCMP do confirm that last night’s robbery is at the same location as the first on April 1st”.
