Just Eat Canada Looks at Five Popular Hangover Foods for Canadians to Help Cure the St. Patrick’s Day Hangover!

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, Just Eat Canada is presenting the five most popular hangover foods ordered by Canadians to help cure that inevitable hangover from all that green St. Patrick’s Day beer.

Just Eat is the country’s largest and fastest-growing website for ordering food online, delivery or take-out. It is popular in major cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal.

Based on hundreds of orders placed the morning after St. Patrick’s Day in 2011 (also known as Hangover Day),  a list of Canada’s five major hangover food trends was compiled .

5) Burritos

Whether you like your burritos filled with beans, meat or stuffed with bacon, burritos were one of our top five most-ordered foods last year after St. Patrick’s Day. Try a delicious breakfast burritos to start off your day.

4) Carbs: Noodles, Rice and The Works!

From Thai food, to Chinese or Indian, it looks like pad thai, fried rice, naan and noodles topped with a choice of beef or pork has a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of Canadians. There’s nothing like spicy beef pad Thai, a true Asian comfort food, to truly hit the spot!

3) Chicken/Wings

A standard favourite of Just-Eaters to calm the midnight munchies, fried chicken and chicken wings are always a great go-to for Hangover Day. Our users like ‘em spicy with a side of fries.

2) Burgers & Fries

The second-most ordered item last year was burgers. Thick, beefy, double-stacked burgers topped with oozing cheese and extra bacon (a top choice!) and a side of fries. Best chugged down with a can of pop or keep it classic with a chocolate milkshake.

1) Pizza

The saviour of all hangovers and the most-ordered item from the day after St. Patrick’s last year, it seems that ordering pizza always saves the day. It’s delicious and a safe bet for curing your hangover - especially when you can order it quickly and easily online through Just-Eat.ca. We suggest a double cheese pizza with oh so delicious bacon
- just how our users like it!
