53-year old Maple Ridge B.C. man injured in crash on Highway 666

On Tuesday, March 13, a two vehicle, head-on collision, south of Grande Prairie sent a Maple Ridge man to hospital via STARS Air Ambulance.
The accident occurred on Highway 666, southwest of Grande Prairie. Carol McKinley of the Grande Prairie RCMP says the driver of an eastbound car lost control on a snowy, ice covered road, crossed the centre line and collided with another car, driven by the man from Maple Ridge.
The 53-year old driver from Maple Ridge was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. The woman driving the eastbound car sustained minor injuries.
Roads conditions in the area were in poor driving conditions due to the snow and ice. There were 17 collisions reported to the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment from 6 a.m., to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, March 13.
